Jeddah to Makkah in 35 minutes via New Road
Makkah.... Travel time between Jeddah and Makkah will be reduced to only 35 minutes with the opening of a new 72-kilometer-long highway which is currently under construction, Ministry of Transport spokesman Turki Al-Toaimi told Makkah Arabic newspaper on Saturday.The highway will start from the airport in Jeddah and end on the fourth ring road in Makkah.

The distance between jeddah and Makkah is 93km via route 40 that route take one hour of time to travel, 97km via route 290 that takes one hour 15 minutes to travel, 110 km via route 301 that takes one hour 10 minutes.The new highway via jeddah domestic or international airport, will serve Umrah and Haj pilgrims, said Al-Toaimi.
